Glenn Maxwell’s amazing knock of 201* in the recent ICC World Cup 2023 match between the Australia vs. Afghanistan has sparked a new Instagram trend.
Maxwell’s blitz helped Australia chase down 292 runs from being 91/7 at one stage. He and Pat Cummins (12*) added 202* runs for the 8th wicket. Nicknamed ‘the Big Show’, Maxwell battled extreme cramps and back spasms which led to him scoring the last few runs for victory basically rooted to the crease.
He couldn’t move his legs at all without cramping up and still managed to smash 21 fours and 10 sixes in his knock which helped Australia qualify for the semi-finals.
Pakistan spinner Shadab Khan tried to imitate Maxwell's shots in the nets ahead of the team's match against England and the results turned out to be hilarious. He tried not to move his legs and hit through the line and even practiced the shots before hand.
ICC shared the video on social media and captioned it: "Everyone wants to be like Maxi"
