CWC 2023: WATCH- Fan asks Rohit Sharma "World Cup apna hai na?" Indian captain's response goes viral

The Indian cricket team became the first team to qualify for the semifinals of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 after their 302-run win over Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday (November 2).

Team India is still unbeaten in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023, having won all seven games so far in the tournament. Rohit Sharma and his team’s stunning performance boosted the whole nation's hopes that India’s World Cup drought would end on November 19 in Ahmedabad.

While all the Indians are eager to see Team India lift the World Cup trophy, skipper Rohit had to face a similar question from a fan when the Men in Blue were leaving for Kolkata.

Notably, India is set to face in-form South Africa in their next World Cup 2023 match on Sunday, November 5, at the Eden Gardens, followed by their final game against the Netherlands on November 12.

Well, a video is doing the rounds on social media where Rohit Sharma finds himself in the spotlight when a fan asks the Indian skipper if the World Cup trophy is already guaranteed for India. In the video, a fan can be heard asking Rohit, “World Cup apna hai na (is the World Cup ours?)”

And the Indian skipper came up with his response very calmly, as the 'Hitman' replied with a slight smile: “Abhi time hai (there is still time).”

Notably, India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the ongoing World Cup 2023 with an ankle injury, and Prasidh Krishna was named as his replacement in the team. On the other hand, a few media reports also suggested that KL Rahul has been named as India’s vice-captain after Pandya was ruled out of the tournament.
