India crushed Sri Lanka by 302 runs at Wankhede Stadium on November 2nd to record their seventh win on the trot, becoming the first team to qualify for the semifinals of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

Reacting to the massive win, Shoaib Akhtar predicted that this onslaught by India will continue for the rest of the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023. However, the Rawalpindi Express urged the Indian fans to celebrate their fast bowlers like they praise their batters.

Shoaib Akhtar said in a video posted on X: “India is becoming a ruthless side from this point the onslaught cannot be stopped but my request to Indians is to start celebrating your fast bowlers because everyone was happy and there was a lot of noise on each delivery at the Wankhede Stadium.”

Akhtar was really impressed with Mohammad Shami’s stunning performance in the tournament. Shami has taken 14 wickets, including two five-wicket hauls, in just three games in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. The senior pacer now has 45 wickets, the most in World Cup history.

The former Pakistani pacer continued, “I am personally happy for Shami he has found his rhythm back he has claimed so many wickets and has got 45 World Cup wickets overall.”

There were question marks about Mohammed Siraj's form at the ongoing CWC 2023, but the Indian pacer shot down his critics with his stunning performance against Sri Lanka. He finished with figures of 3/15 against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium.

Akhtar signed off by saying, “Siraj is running, Bumrah is lethal he is giving them comfort to both of them to bowl freely. Can't understand where's the wickets column and where's the runs column.”
