Pakistan and South Africa are clashing in an interesting match of the ICC World Cup 2023. This match is being played in Chennai on October 27, 2023. Pakistan has lost three out of five matches, while South Africa has won 4 matches thus far.
Pakistan needs to win this match to stay in contention for the semi-finals and Babar Azam started well by winning the toss and choosing to bat first. Mohammad Wasim Jr replaced an ill Hassan Ali, while Mohammad Nawaz was picked as well.
South Africa rested Kagiso Rabada as a precautionary measure after he experienced back spasms and Lungi Ngidi came into the side. Temba Bavuma returned, while Tabraiz Shamsi also got a match.
Marco Jansen started well for Proteas as he removed Abdullah Shafique for 9 and Imam Ul Haq for 12 runs. Then Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan came together to stabilize the innings.

However, in the 7th over of the match, Jansen almost had the wicket of Rizwan, who heaved across the line off the short ball next up only for the ball to fly over the third-man boundary for four. This irked the bowler as he had a go at Pakistan's keeper-batter.
In response, Rizwan also didn’t hold back and gestured for Jansen to go back to his mark and bowl again. Gerald Coetzee was quick to come in between and settle down things while the umpire at the bowler's end also got involved to calm things. Rizwan fist-bumped with the umpire.
But Jansen continued with the verbal duel as he had something to say at the end of the over after delivering a dot ball as this time, the Pakistan batter just smiled back at him.
