This was India’s fifth consecutive win in five matches.

New Zealand had batted first after Rohit Sharma won the toss. Thanks to 130 from Daryl Mitchell and 75 from Rachin Ravindra, New Zealand posted 273 runs. Mohammad Shami for India took 5/54 in his 10 overs.

In reply, Virat Kohli’s 95 and Rohit Sharma’s 46 runs, in combination with 39* from Ravindra Jadeja took India home in 48 overs with 4 wickets in hand. India is now at the first spot in the CWC 2023 points table with 10 points to their name.

A BCCI official confirmed to Cricbuzz that the Indian team will now travel to Lucknow for their next match on October 25. At the moment, there are no scheduled practice or net sessions (optional or regular) planned. India is set to face England in Lucknow on October 29.

In addition, there is no update on the availability of Hardik Pandya, who is currently undergoing treatment for an ankle injury at the NCA in Bengaluru. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has stated that there are no plans to announce a replacement, and the all-rounder is expected to be fully fit for the England game.

Additionally, it has been confirmed that Ishan Kishan, who was stung by an insect before the New Zealand game, is also in good health.
