India was asked to chase 274-run target and they achieved the feat thanks to brilliant contributions from captain Rohit Sharma (46) and Virat Kohli (95). Other batters Ravindra Jadeja (39*) and Shreyas Iyer (33) assisted Kohli as he led the chase after the openers got out.

Earlier, New Zealand was put into bat first by Rohit Sharma who won the toss. Daryl Mitchell (130) and Rachin Ravindra (75) combined to put 159 runs for the third wicket. But Mohammad Shami’s 5/54 kept the Kiwis from going over 300-run mark.

With this 4-wicket win, in which Mohammad Shami was named Player of the Match, India has now topped the table with 10 points from 5 matches with 5 wins.
