Former Indian pacer Sreesanth hits back at Pakistan’s team director Mickey Arthur for his recent remark with a Cricket World Cup record reminder to reopen the arch-rival's wounds.

The 2011 World Cup winner, Sreesanth, also made the bold statement that even India's C team can beat Pakistan’s best XI. His comments came after Arthur claimed that the high-voltage clash of the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023 between India and Pakistan didn't seem like an ICC event to him.

He was not happy with Pakistan fans’ absence at the Narendra Modi Stadium, where the Men in Blue crushed Pakistan by 7 wickets in a one-sided affair of the CWC 2023 on October 14.

Well, reacting to Arthur’s comments, Sreesanth stated that Pakistan can’t even dream of playing in such a big stadium, but India gave them a chance, and they should be thankful for it.

Sreesanth was quoted as saying by Sportskeeda: “Mickey Arthur said we’ll meet in the final. I don’t think Pakistan can ever beat India in an ICC trophy or in any other event considering the team they have. Even our C team can beat Pakistan’s main XI. Make an IPL XI of players who are not playing, even they can defeat the Pakistan team.”

He signed off by saying, “Pakistan cannot even dream of playing in such a big stadium. We gave them a chance, but if you play like that, you won’t get such chances again.”

Notably, India will next face Bangladesh at the CWC 2023 on October 19 in Pune, while Pakistan will take on Australian in Bengaluru on October 20.
