Pakistani cricket legend Waqar Younis shared invaluable advice with Shaheen Afridi, who has been struggling with the ball in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.
Presently, Shaheen Afridi grapples with issues related to his pace and fitness, reflecting his poor performances so far in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023. Afridi could manage only four wickets in three games at the cost of a substantial 139 runs in the tournament.
Well, Younis came forward as a ray of hope for Afridi, advising the Pakistani pacer to emulate the tactics of India's fast-bowling sensation, Jasprit Bumrah, who is known for his accuracy and versatility.
The former Pakistani bowlers further insisted that Afridi must draw inspiration from Bumrah to rejuvenate his form if he aspires to leave a mark in the ongoing World Cup in 2023.

Waqar Younis said: “I don't know if there is a problem with his fitness. The missing link in his bowling is discipline and he is over trying to get wickets. When you do the same thing again and again, like Shaheen is bowling to get his yorker going, then batsmen know that and they are ready for it.”
Waqar signed off by saying, “Jasprit Bumrah is creating pressure and his line is top of the off stump. He bowled so well against Pakistan and created pressure to get wickets.”
Notably, the Pakistan team recently suffered their eighth straight defeat in Cricket World Cups to India, as they lost by 7 wickets in Ahmedabad. The Men in Green will now face Australia in their next match in the tournament on 20 October in Bengaluru.
