India's pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah has defied all odds to reclaim his position as the leader of Team India's pace attack at the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

The Indian pace sensation has not only won battle with the recent injury but has also shrugged off the added pressure of representing his nation in front of a home crowd at the Cricket World Cup 2023. After being stormed back with a blistering start at CWC, Bumrah dismissed any injury concerns.

Well, Bumrah's comeback from long injury layoff has been nothing short of spectacular, as he emerged as the joint-highest wicket-taker in the ongoing CWC 2023, with an impressive tally of eight wickets in just three matches.

Bumrah told ICC Digital Insider Tanvi Shah: “I don't really look at it as pressure or responsibility because as a child I wanted to be a cricketer. I wanted to play for India. I wanted to do the difficult job. I wanted to make my team win. So that is what I'm doing.”

The speedster said that he always uses his experience to deliver on the big stage under pressure, like in the last game against Pakistan, and he never thinks about pressure or expectations.

Bumrah signed off by saying, “I've learned a lot over the years. I tried to use my experience; I've played a lot in this country. So, you use my experience and try to help the team as much as you can because if you think about pressure and expectation and responsibility, you won't be able to perform with that baggage of expectation.”

The right-armer finished with 2/19 and the key wickets of Mohammad Rizwan and Shadab Khan to help set up a commanding seven-wicket victory in the much-anticipated clash. He also won the Player of the Match.
