Harbhajan Singh predicted an exciting clash between the Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli and Pakistan's pace spearhead, Shaheen Shah Afridi, in the 12th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in Ahmedabad.

The epic battle between the two arch-rivals, India and Pakistan, is scheduled to take place at the grandiose Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

During the face-off between the two cricketing giants, all eyes will be on Kohli to lead the Men in Blue to glory against Pakistan, and Harbhajan, former Indian spinner, backed the modern-day legend to win the battle against Shaheen Afridi in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Kohli has showcased his prowess with back-to-back half-centuries in the opening two matches of the 2023 World Cup, and Harbhajan is confident of him making mockery of the Pakistan bowlers.

Harbhajan Singh said on Star Sports: “It is a good battle but I feel the sort of form Virat is in, he will win this battle. Shaheen pitches the ball extremely full and tries to get batters out lbw or bowled with the new ball.”

He added, “Shaheen has not left such a big impression in the last five to seven matches, if you include the Asia Cup and the World Cup. He needs the conditions. If the conditions are good, he becomes an excellent bowler but if the conditions are not in his favor, he is just a decent bowler.”

India are placed third in the World Cup 2023 points table, while Pakistan occupy the fourth spot.
