Good news for Team India and its fans, as Shubman Gill has started practicing in the nets ahead of the blockbuster clash of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 between India and Pakistan.

As reported by CricketNext, the young opener has finally started training after missing Team India’s first two matches at the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023 against Australia and Afghanistan due to dengue.

India will take on Pakistan on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in their third CWC 2023 match, and before this high-octane match, Gill resumed practice as the pictures of him striking balls went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, officials from the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) revealed that Shubman Gill visited the Narendra Modi Stadium around 11 in the morning on Thursday. He spent nearly an hour practicing his batting and had some specialized coaches helping him with throw-downs.

It wasn't just casual batting; he had a serious practice session, which is certainly good news for the Men in Blue.

A GCA official said: “Shubman Gill was here in the morning and he did bat around one hour. Not many people were around when he was batting and he left the premises moment he was done with the hit.”

On the other hand, a curator revealed: “We were told about it in morning and we prepared the net for Shubman Gill. We were not inside when he was batting but could hear the sound of the bat.”

It is being said that Gill did not bat under the sun, as he was still recovering from dengue, while the few security guards operating the entry and exit gates of the training area heard the sound of the bat when he was inside the nets at Motera.
