Michael Vaughan managed to catch the attention of many, including Harbhajan Singh, by questioning the empty seats in the Arun Jaitley stadium on October 11 during the scintillating clash of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 between India and Afghanistan.

In this ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023, an unusual trend has emerged: stadiums have been empty during the first innings of matches. It's a curious sight, given the grandeur of the event.

However, as the sun descends and the day's work is done, fans have been coming up to the stadiums to cheer for their teams and players. The similar thing was noticed by Vaughan but only ended up being trolled by Harbhajan.

With a single line, Harbhajan silenced Vaughan's observation, leaving no room for further debate or discussion. It was a masterstroke in the art of swift and savage retorts, which is now going viral on social media, as the former spinner asked Vaughan whether he was watching the match or empty stands.

Vaughan posted on X, “Why so many empty seats in #Delhi for the India Game.” To which Harbhajan replied, “Are u watching the game or empty seats??”

Coming back to the match, Team India chased down the target of 273 runs with ease against Afghanistan, thanks to Rohit Sharma’s record-breaking ton and Virat Kohli’s stunning unbeaten fifty in Delhi.
