CWC 2023: WATCH – Virat Kohli upset after missed run-out chance involving Naveen-ul-Haq; crowd erupts into "Kohli, Kohli" chants

Naveen was involved in a heated altercation with India batter Virat Kohli during the IPL 2023 season. This was the first time after the incident that the two players were facing each other and Naveen was greeted "Kohli, Kohli" chants when he came out to bat at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Naveen played the second delivery he faced towards fine-leg where Kohli was stationed. The Indian star picked up the ball quickly and fired a sharp throw but KL Rahul failed to collect it in time as Naveen managed to complete a couple of runs.

Kohli was left frustrated as a better collection of throw could have ended Naveen’s stay in the middle.

After the incident, the video of Kohli’s reaction and the chants of his name went viral on social media.

Earlier, Afghanistan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi won the toss and opted to bat first against India.

Riding on half-centuries from Shahidi (80 off 88 balls) and Azmatullah Omarzai (62 off 69 balls), Afghanistan posted 272/8 in their allotted 50 overs.

Jasprit Bumrah starred with the ball for India, claiming four wickets by conceding 39 runs in his 10 overs.
