David Warner | ICCAustralia’s star opener David Warner on Tuesday (October 3) caught everyone’s attention as he pulled off the iconic step of Telugu actor Allu Arjun's movie, Pushpa, during the World Cup 2023 warm-up match against Pakistan in Hyderabad.

During the 12th over of Pakistan’s innings, Abdullah Shafique top-edged a short delivery from Sean Abbott and Warner took an easy catch at mid-off.

After completing the grab, Warner was elated and he celebrated the wicket by doing the famous 'jhukega nahi' step from the movie Pushpa.

Coming to the match, Australia defeated Pakistan by 14 runs in a high-scoring thriller at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

Opting to bat first, Australia piled up a mammoth 351/7 in their allotted 50 overs on the back of half-centuries from Glenn Maxwell (77) and Cameron Green (50). David Warner and Josh Inglish also played a dazzling knock of 48-run each.

In reply, Pakistan’s innings folded for 337 in 47.4 overs. Babar Azam (90 retd hurt), Iftikhar Ahmed (83) and Mohammad Nawaz (50) produced good knocks but they failed to take their side over the line.
