CWC 2023: Fans slam BCCI and HCA after pics of dirty seats of Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium go viral

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is slated to host three World Cup matches.

Ahmedabad, Delhi, Dharamsala, Lucknow, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad will host the World Cup matches.

With only a couple of days left for the showpiece tournament, Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium has come under the scanner for its terrible condition.

On Tuesday (October 3), some pictures and a video went viral on social media, highlighting the dilapidated seats at the venue.

The dirty seats irked the fans as they slammed the BCCI and Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) for their management.

Notably, the same venue in Hyderabad will stage three World Cup matches and has hosted two warm-up fixtures, including the ongoing Pakistan versus Australia game.

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is going to host Match 2 of the World Cup between Pakistan and Netherlands on October 6.

In the second match, New Zealand will face Netherlands on October 9 while Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka at the same venue a day later.
