Dale Steyn, former South Africa pacer, is having a great time in Trivandrum, Kerala, where South Africa is playing its ICC World Cup warm-up matches. Steyn is a member of the broadcaster's official commentary team.
Rain caused the first warm-up match between South Africa and Afghanistan to be canceled. The team's second practice match is scheduled to take place against New Zealand on October 2.
Meanwhile, Steyn documented his perfect weekend in the rainy city of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. He shares clips of his visit to the beach, drinking coconut water and just enjoying the rains.
Steyn captioned the post as 'Rain. India. People. Kindness. Salute. #OhCoconut #missyou"
On the other hand, Steyn had recently named the two teams he felt could play in the finals of the ICC World Cup 2023 which begins in India on October 5.
“He is a phenomenal batter,” Dale Steyn admits struggling to bowl against Rohit Sharma
“It’s a tough one, you know my heart wants to go with South Africa making the final. I would love them to make the final, their team, a lot of their players play in the IPL, they play in India regularly. They got some guys like in David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen who started to figure out those conditions and bat well there," Steyn said in a discussion on Star Sports.
"Then, there is KG Rabada who has been bowling there for ages and a lot of their other senior players have played a lot of cricket there. So I feel like they can go on and get to the finals with getting those players.
I feel like the favorites would probably be India, I feel like India is going to be one of the finalists, and probably England. But my heart wants to say South Africa and India but I am kind of leaning towards India and England,” he added.
South Africa will begin their World Cup 2023 campaign against Sri Lanka on October 7 in Delhi.
