Surprisingly, Vaughan left out Australia who have won the World Cup a record five times and made it into the knockouts since the 1996 World Cup edition.
Vaughan posted: “Can’t wait for the World Cup to start this week. My 4 semi-finalists will be … England ????????South Africa India Pakistan .. #CWC2023”
To this, former Australia opener and 1999 World Cup winner Mark Waugh simply said that Vaughan had lost his mind by not picking Australia as one of the semi-finalists.
Waugh replied: “You’ve lost your marbles.”
