The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday (September 29) unveiled the star-studded commentary team for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, slated to be held in India from October 5 to November 19.

The showpiece tournament is set to feature a talented group of seasoned commentators hailing from various countries.

The commentary panel includes ex-India head coach Ravi Shastri and former Pakistan cricketers Ramiz Raja and Waqar Younis. World Cup-winning captains like Ricky Ponting and Eoin Morgan will be part of the coverage as well.

Batting legends such as Sunil Gavaskar and Matthew Hayden are the other prominent names in the panel alongside Shane Watson, Lisa Sthalekar and Aaron Finch.

The commentary box will mark the return of Nasser Hussain, Ian Smith and Ian Bishop, who were on-air during the memorable 2019 World Cup final between England and New Zealand.

Former captains including Waqar Younis, Shaun Pollock, Anjum Chopra and Michael Atherton will also be calling the action live from the commentary box.

They will be joined by former international stars like Simon Doull, Mpumelelo Mbangwa, Sanjay Manjrekar, Katey Martin, Dinesh Karthik, Dirk Nannes, Samuel Badree, Athar Ali Khan and Russel Arnold.

Some of the leading broadcasters in the world namely Harsha Bhogle, Kass Naidoo, Mark Nicholas, Natalie Germanos, Mark Howard and Ian Ward will also join the coverage.
