CWC 2023: WATCH- Pakistan arrive in Hyderabad for World Cup; their first visit in India since 2016

Pakistan will play New Zealand in a warm-up game on September 29.

Pakistan team arrives in Hyderbad | ANI XPakistan team have arrived in Hyderabad, India for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 which begins on October 5. Pakistan will play two warmup games in Hyderabad and their first two matches will also be at the same venue.

This is the first time in 7 years that the Pakistan team has visited India - the last time being in 2016 when they came to play the T20 World Cup.

Pakistan have arrived in India via Dubai and touched down at Hyderabad where they play their first 2 ODI World Cup matches against Netherlands and Sri Lanka. There were reports of delay in issuing the Pakistan team the visas for the event.

The visas were finally issued on September 25, just two days before the team's scheduled departure to Hyderabad.

Pakistan's most high-profile clash will be played on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad where they will face India. The Men in Green play their World Cup matches at only five venues- Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Kolkata.   

They are ranked second in the ODI rankings and are considered one of the favorites to make it into the semi-finals.
