Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt echoed the view of former England captain Michael Vaughan about the possible winner of the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, starting on October 5.
Like Vaughan, Butt said that whichever team beats the in-form Team India that will win the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023. He further hailed India’s “ultimate rise” over the years and claimed that there is no team in world which is close to the Men in Blue.
Salman Butt said on his YouTube Channel: “India is the only one in world cricket to have this ultimate rise. Everyone is talking about four teams to watch out for in the upcoming World Cup. However, what I believe is that the team that beats India will win the World Cup.”

Butt signed off by saying, “The fitness levels of these players are far better than what we say 15 years back. Similarly, the fielding standards have also improved. From infrastructure to commentators to experts to their kit, everything related to cricket in India is top-notch.”
