CWC 2023: Hashim Amla picks his World Cup semi-finalists, surprises with his choices

Cricket enthusiasts and experts are engaging in enthralling discussions about the likely champions and the four semi-finalists of the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, amidst the bubbling excitement and zeal building up for the prestigious tournament.

Joining the chorus of cricketing legends, South African legend Hashim Amla picked his four semi-finalists for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023, and he also shared crucial advice for his national team that had already reached India for the mega event.

In a recent conversation with iol.com.za, Amla unveiled his semi-finalists for the upcoming World Cup 2023, which is set to get underway on October 5 in Ahmedabad.

He surprisingly overlooked five-time champions Australia and last edition runner-up New Zealand, as he went ahead with India, Pakistan, South Africa, and England as the frontrunners for the CWC 2023 semifinals.

Hashim Amla told iol.com.za: “I’ll go with India, Pakistan, South Africa, and England.”

Amla’s message for South Africa is: “The loudest noise is the one in your head. So, you’ve got to keep track of what your thoughts are, keep pulling yourself to the moment of what needs to be done, and then succeed in that moment.”

Notably, South Africa will open its campaign in the upcoming World Cup 2023 against Sri Lanka on October 7 and Temba Bavuma’s team recently left for India for the tournament.
