The ticket roll-out turned out to be a nightmare for the fans.

ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will be held in India | GettyThe early sale of tickets for the much-anticipated ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 went live on the booking platform BookMyShow on Tuesday (August 29).

However, the roll-out turned out to be a nightmare for the fans and they encountered multiple crashes on the platform. Moreover, cricket enthusiasts were left frustrated by the lengthy waiting periods as well.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), the fans vented out their frustration.

One user wrote, “3 hours queue for India vs Netherlands?  No wonder BCCI treats us like garbage.. and we will still go for the game.”

Another user posted, “More chances of practising hard and making it to the Indian team for the World Cup than getting tickets to watch it!"

“Excuse me sir, what is the procedure to book 2027 World Cup tickets? Unfortunately, I was 1 second late for 2023 WC tickets," another post read.

One fan sarcastically wrote that they won’t have to face lathi charge in this queue while many others expressed their anger in a different way.

There is a lot of buzz surrounding around the 2023 ODI World Cup, slated to get underway on October 5.

Defending champions England will face New Zealand in the event opener at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad will also host the high-voltage India versus Pakistan clash on October 14 and the tournament final on November 19.
