There is no apparent indication of the committee taking a tough stand towards the World Cup, but it could seek permission for a security check in India before giving the green light for the Babar Azam's men to participate in the October 5-November 19 tournament.

The committee is expected to ask the ICC and the BCCI officials to allow it to send a delegation to India to take a look at the security arrangements at the venues where Pakistan will play their matches.

"A high-profile meeting will decide on the World Cup participation," a top PCB official told Cricbuzz.

Unconfirmed information implies that the India-Pakistan match could be moved up to October 14.

The other change could be their match against the Netherlands, which is currently scheduled for October 6 in Hyderabad as per the original schedule. The Pakistan-Sri Lanka game on October 12 may remain unchanged.

BCCI and ICC sources say the final programme is expected this week, and there is a possibility of a change of dates for four to six games in all.
