Arshdeep Singh, India pacer, celebrated Men in Blue’s Asian Games 2026 gold medal win with a viral reel posted on Instagram. India won the top prize after defeating Pakistan in the final of the men’s cricket team event on October 3, 2026, at the Korogi Sports Park, Nisshin.

India won the toss and chose to bat first. Abhishek Sharma made 61 with 7 sixes and 3 fours, and Tilak Varma hammered 51* in 22 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes, as India posted 211/6 in 20 overs. Shivam Dube (27), Shreyas Iyer (21), and Ishan Kishan (20) also contributed to the total.

In response, only Hasan Nawaz, with 96 off 5 fours and 7 sixes, managed to keep Pakistan in the game. He got help from Saim Ayub (29) and Maaz Sadaqat (23), but the total was too much for Pakistan to chase down, and they finished their 20 overs with 192/6. For India, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar picked two wickets apiece.

India won the final by 19 runs and confirmed their gold medal in the Asian Games 2026. This was the second consecutive Asian Games edition that they won the gold medal, having previously won the top prize in the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games in China.

Meanwhile, after the Indian players were given their gold medal, pacer Arshdeep Singh, who didn’t get a game in the tournament, decided to make a reel with the medal. He was seen saying, "The first time was so nice; we had to do it twice.”
