During the Asian Games 2026 men's cricket final at the Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin, Japan, Pakistan all-rounder Saim Ayub was sledged by the Indian fans.
In a video doing rounds on social media, Ayub can be seen fielding near the boundary ropes, where he was ridiculed by a section of Indian fans.
“Koi garden me nahi ghumega,” a fan can be heard saying in the clip, referring to former India skipper Rohit Sharma’s one of Rohit Sharma’s most famous and viral stump-mic moments.
Another fan came up with a brutal sledge when he said, “Ek aur catch drop kar na” to Ayub, who endured fielding nightmare and dropped multiple catches during India’s innings.
“Oyeeee Biryani” and “Choddega bhai choddega, Pakistan choddega” were some more hilarious sledges caught in the video.
Coming to the match, India posted a mammoth total of 211/6 in 20 overs in the Gold Medal fixture against the arch-rivals. Opener Abhishek Sharma (61 off 28) set the tone while Tilak Varma (51 unbeaten off 22) and Shivam Dube (27 off 14) took the defending champions past the 200-run mark.
Left-arm spinner Arafat Minhas (2-25) and pacer Ahmed Daniyal (2-43) took two wickets each for Pakistan.
