India had batted first after losing the loss and posted 147/2 when rain interrupted play on September 10.

When the Indian innings resumed on September 11, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul continued the assault on Pakistani bowlers and added 233* runs for the third wicket as India posted 356/2 in 50 overs. Kohli remained unbeaten on 122, his 47th ODI century and Rahul made 111*, his 6th ODI ton.

In response, Pakistani batting crumbled badly and they were all out for 128 runs with Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah absent hurt. Kuldeep Yadav took 5/25 for India.

The victory sparked wild celebrations in every part of the cricket-crazed nation as fans rejoiced and marked the occasion with joy.

Fans in Jammu took to the streets to express their joy following the massive win.

The Indian team fans in Nagpur brought out the fireworks as they danced in celebration of the iconic triumph.

Team India fans were celebrating everywhere in the country.

India will now face Sri Lanka on September 12 in what will be their third straight day of playing cricket.
