Asia Cup 2023: WATCH – “Bach ke rehna Pakistan se,” Shoaib Akhtar issues warning to Team India ahead of Super-4 clash

India and Pakistan are due to square off in Colombo on September 10.

India versus Pakistan Super-4 match will have a reserve day | GettyIndia and Pakistan are gearing up for another face-off in the Asia Cup 2023 after last week’s rain-abandoned affair.

The arch-rivals will square off in the Super-4 stage on Sunday (September 10) in Colombo. This time around, however, the fans are more worried about the weather rather than getting excited for the marquee encounter.

More than 70 per cent rain has been forecasted on September 10 in Colombo. As a result, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has kept a reserve day for the game.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar on Saturday (September 9) shared a pleasant news with the fans after landing in Colombo.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Akhtar shared a video in which he also issued a warning to the Indian team.

“Landing in Colombo after, God knows, how many years. But good to be back here. Great country and great people. And Weather… it looks fine! Bach ke rehna Pakistan se (Beware of Pakistan) …,” Shoaib can be heard saying in the video.

Notably, the group-stage match between India and Pakistan in Pallekele was washed out due to rain on September 2.

Opting to bat first, the Men in Blue were bowled out for 266 in 48.5 overs. However, Pakistan’s innings couldn’t take place due to incessant drizzle and the game was called off.
