India and Pakistan are gearing up for their second clash of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023, which will take place at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, on September 10. The first match between the arch-rivals at Pallekele had to be abandoned due to rain, after India batted first and were bowled out for 266 by Pakistan.
The weather forecast for the re-match in the Super 4s isn't promising either with rain predicted for Sunday. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) have announced a reserve day for the clash on Monday, despite no such provision earlier for any of the matches, except for the final.
India, who beat Nepal in another rain-hit clash to qualify for the Super 4s, had an indoor practice session on Thursday due to the inclement weather, but the conditions improved on Friday which allowed the team to practice and train outdoors.
While the players were engaged in a game of football, a little puppy entered the ground, which caught the attention of the players as they included it in their game. The puppy however walked towards Virat Kohli, who petted and played with it momentarily before the puppy left.
Virat is a well-known animal lover and contributes towards the well-being of stray animals through his foundation.
