“Bolne se kuch nahi hota”- Shadab Khan unknowingly reacts to fake quote of Ajit Agarkar saying 'Virat Kohli will handle Pakistan pacers'

Pakistan and India to clash in Sri Lanka on September 2 in Asia Cup 2023.

Shadab Khan | GettyPakistan white-ball vice-captain Shadab Khan has reacted to a fake quote doing rounds on social media and picked up by major news outlets in which BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar allegedly says that Virat Kohli will take care of Pakistan pacers Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 tournament, which begins on August 30.

A few days ago, Agarkar, along with India captain Rohit Sharma had announced the 17-member squad for the Asia Cup 2023.

And the fake quote which was doing rounds on X was picked up by news outlets in which the chief selector, Agarkar spoke regarding Virat Kohli and Pakistan pacers.

The fake quote claims that Agarkar responded to a reporter saying that "Virat Kohli will handle them", when he was asked about how India batters would handle Pakistani pacers during the presser.

Now Pakistani all-rounder Shadab Khan has responded to the same when a reporter who got fooled by the quote posed the question to him and said that only what one does on the field matters and not what is being said before or after the match.

“Virat Kohli has been using his feet very well lately,” says Sanjay Bangar ahead of Asia Cup 2023

Shadab feels its only that particular day when one will come to know what happens.

"Dekhiye, ye depend karta hai on a day. Main ya koi aur, ya unki taraf se koi aisa bol de, to bolne se kuch nahi hota, kuch change nahi hota. Jab match hoga, match mein jo cheezein nazar ayengi, asal cheez wahi hoti hai (See, it all depends on what happens that day. Me or someone else, or someone from their side, can say whatever they want. It doesn't make any difference. When the match takes place, only we'll get to know what the reality)," Shadab said in a presser after the Afghanistan ODI series.

Pakistan topped the ICC ODI rankings thanks to their 3-0 ODI series win over Afghanistan in Sri Lanka. The Men in Green will play Nepal in the opening encounter of the Asia Cup in Multan on August 30 and will clash with India on September 2nd in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
