Asia Cup 2022: WATCH- Indian fans share ordeal of being pushed by cops, not allowed to wear India jersey for SL-PAK final

Bharat Army, the Indian team fans said that they were pushed by cops for wearing India jersey.

Babar and Shanaka pose with Asia Cup trophy | GettySri Lanka and Pakistan clashed in the final of the Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 11, and while fans of their teams enjoy the action on the ground, Indian team fans were reportedly refused entry into the ground and misbehaved with by the cops just because they wore the Men in Blue jersey.

Bharat Army, the fan group of the Indian cricket team, shared the ordeal faced by the Indian fans. As per the fans, those wearing Indian jerseys are not allowed to enter the stadium. Speaking to Bharat Army, a fan shared the ordeal and said that the cops pushed them for wearing Team India jerseys.

Fans wearing Pakistani or Sri Lanka jerseys were allowed entry into the stadium. The Bharat Army tagged ICC and the Asian Cricket Council in its post and urged them to investigate the matter.

"The @icc & @ACCMedia1 we urge you to investigate as our members traveled all they way from India to watch the #AsiaCup2022 and have been told they can’t enter the stadium by local officials and the police! Absolutely shocking treatment! #BharatArmy #PAKvSL," the Bharat Army wrote.

Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first and their bowlers owned the first 10 overs of the Sri Lankan innings, reducing them to 67/5.
