The Indian team is all set to face Sri Lanka in a do-or-die clash of the Asia Cup 2022 Super Fours on Tuesday, September 6 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The Men in Blue have found themselves in a tricky situation having lost a nail-biting super 4s encounter against Pakistan on September 4.

While Pakistan is only one win away from making it to the final of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022, Team India will have to win their remaining two matches against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan to book a place in the final.

However, it won’t be easy for India to outclass Sri Lanka as they are currently in great form, and if they manage to beat Rohit Sharma and his team, then they will reach the Asia Cup Final on Tuesday.

Speaking about the equation ahead of India vs. Sri Lanka clash, Virender Sehwag said that India will be under pressure in this match, as they have already lost one match in the Asia Cup’s Super Fours against Pakistan.

The former Indian cricketer further predicted that this could also be Pakistan's year, as if India loses the match to Sri Lanka, then Pakistan will make it to the final for the first time since Asia Cup 2014.

Virender Sehwag told Cricbuzz: “If India lose another match by chance, they will be out of the tournament. Pakistan have the advantage because if they lose one match and win another, their net run rate will take them to the final as they have lost one match and won two.”

He added, “India have lost one and if they lose another, they are out. So pressure is on India. Pakistan will play in the final after a long time and have also beaten India after a long time in the Asia Cup. This could also be Pakistan's year.”
