Asia Cup 2022: WATCH – Naseem Shah cries while walking back to dugout after completing his quota of 4 overs versus India

Naseem Shah appeared to be in a lot of pain while completing his last over.

Naseem Shah | ScreengrabPakistan speedster Naseem Shah impressed one and all on his T20I debut against arch-rivals India in the Asia Cup 2022 match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday (August 28).

In fact, Naseem’s performance was the biggest takeaway for Pakistan in their five-wicket defeat at the hands of India.

The 19-year-old was exceptional with the new ball as he claimed the prized scalp of KL Rahul for a first-ball duck and almost dismissed Virat Kohli as well if not for a dropped catch.

In his second spell, Naseem got rid of the dangerous looking Suryakumar Yadav for 18 and by the time he was about to bowl his last over, Dubai’s heat got the better of him and he was struggling with cramps.

While completing his last over, Naseem Shah appeared to be in a lot of pain. However, he showed incredible grit and determination to complete his full quota of four overs and returned with the figures of 2 for 27.

After completing his quota of overs, Naseem walked back to the dugout and got a bit emotional while being on the way.

In a video doing rounds on social media, Naseem appears to be wiping tears of his eyes multiple times while making his way into the dressing room.
