Termed a ‘big match’, the battle between India and Pakistan has always been a high-octane clash and it was no less this time also. Both the teams gave their best and fought tooth and nail but in the end, it was the Rohit Sharma-led side who held their nerves better and sealed the victory.

While it was an intense battle between bat and ball on the field, the game had an angry start to it as former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram, who is working as a commentator for the tournament, fumed at the broadcaster for not presenting the right playing XI.

The broadcaster showed Pakistan playing XI that featured Hassan Ali instead of Shahnawaz Dahani and it made Akram furious as he lashed out at them and criticized the error in "a big game".

Akram revealed that he had spoken to Pakistan’s batting coach Mohammad Yousuf, who told him that Dahani is playing and called it a big problem.

“The batting coach Mohammad Yousuf told me Dahani was playing, but clearly not, so if the Batting coach does not know who is playing, that is a big problem,” Wasim Akram said.

The confusion was later cleared up and he was given the correct XI, Akram said to his colleagues that they should be happy for the broadcaster who put the wrong team as it’s a big mistake in a big game.

“You should be happy for the guy who put out the wrong team, it is a big game, it’s a big mistake,” he said.

Coming to the match, after India opted to bowl, they put on a wonderful display of fast bowling as on account of Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s four-wicket haul and Hardik Pandya’s three wickets, they bundled out the opposition for 147 runs.

With the bat, India then struggled to get going as they lost wickets at regular intervals but Hardik yet again stood tall and played a knock of unbeaten 33 runs to take his side past the finishing line.
