Asia Cup 2022: WATCH - Hong Kong team celebrates their qualification with viral 'Kala Chashma' trend

While the excitement for the Asia Cup 2022 has taken its toll on fans, the qualifiers of the tournament were equally exciting as it saw Hong Kong defeating United Arab Emirates (UAE) to qualify for the main event.

Hong Kong first thrashed Singapore by 8 runs and then dominated the Kuwait outfit. They then displayed a decent performance in the final against UAE as they chased the target of 148 runs in 19 overs to qualify for the second time in a row.

They will now join India and Pakistan in group A and will now take on the Rohit Sharma-led side on Wednesday, August 31 and Pakistan on September 2.

After they defeated UAE to qualify for the tournament, they celebrated the victory by jumping on the ‘Kala Chashma’ viral Instagram trend. Notably, this is not the first time any cricket team is following the trend, it was the Indian team who begin the proceedings after defeating Zimbabwe in the ODI series.
