Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan talked about his experience of bowling to India's Virat Kohli and Pakistan skipper Babar Azam. He said that bowling to batters like them has helped him improve his game.

Both Virat Kohli and Babar Azam are considered modern day greats. The duo are breaking numerous records along the way and are the leading batters in all three formats of the game for their respective nations.

The duo are now preparing themselves to battle against each other in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. Both of the batters are now likely to face Rashid Khan also in the tournament. Their battle would be interesting to watch as the leg-spinner has dismissed Virat Kohli twice and Babar Azam five times in T20 cricket.

Babar recently has been in red-hot form, scoring runs at a healthy average and strike rate whereas Kohli has struggled to get going but one cannot doubt his ability as a player.

In an interaction with a Pakistan journalist Sawera Pasha on her YouTube channel, Rashid Khan said that he finds it equally tough to bowl to Virat and Babar as they don’t spare bad balls and he finds it challenging to bowl to them.

For me, both (Virat and Babar) are equally tough to bowl. The type of batters they are, they won't spare a lose delivery. So, for me, both are tough to bowl to, but I enjoy the challenge. There is no chance that I will bowl a loose ball to both of them. I will focus on bowling in the right areas but bought are tough to bowl at," Rashid Khan said.

Rashid said that bowling to batters like Kohli, Babar and Kane Williamson has helped him to improve as a bowler.

Bowling to Babar and Virat is fun and it has also been a great learning curve for me. For Example, when I used to bowl to Kane Williamson at SRH, we had a lot of chat afterwards about my bowling. So, his output helped me a lot. I also had discussions with Virat in IPL, and the same goes with Babar too,” he said.

Asia Cup will begin on Saturday (27th August) with Sri Lanka taking on Afghanistan in the tournament opener and the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan clash will take place on Sunday (28th August).
