The Indian cricket team’s preparations for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022, starting on August 27 in the UAE, are in full swing and they look to set the stage on fire with their batting and bowling fireworks.

As India is gearing up for their opening clash against Pakistan to be played on Sunday (August 28) in Dubai, the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma, and former skipper Virat Kohli were seen in full flow with the bat during their practice session at the ICC Academy Ground.

The way the ‘Hitman’ and ‘Super V’ were hitting the Indian bowlers at the nets, it is not a good sign for Pakistan, who thrashed Team India by 10 wickets in Dubai last year in a group match of the T20 World Cup 2022.

In a video shared by BCCI on their Twitter handle, Rohit can be seen smashing the ball around the park. At nets in Dubai, the right-hander can be seen brutally hitting young pacers Arshdeep Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, and R Ashwin, sending a warning to the Pakistani bowlers ahead of the big clash. He even played the 'Helicopter Shot' which was the trademark of MS Dhoni.

The Indian skipper was seen practicing the big shots and many of his shots went out of the park. He was practicing under the supervision of VVS Laxman, as the head coach, Rahul Dravid, stayed back in India after testing positive for COVID-19 before the team’s departure.

While Rohit was having his session, Virat was seen at the non-striker's end, and later the veteran batters switched 'strike' as the latter began to show off his wide array of shots. Virat too took on the spinners with aerial shots, but also played his vintage drives.
