The BCCI recently announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 to be played in the UAE from August 27 to September 11. The upcoming edition of the Asia Cup will be played in the T20 format to help the teams in their preparations for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
Ishan Kishan was among the top names who missed out on a berth in India’s squad for the Asia Cup 2022, and the young batter seems to not yet gotten over the heartbreak, as he vented out his frustration through a story on social media platform Instagram.
The left-handed batter shared a picture of himself from training session on his Instagram story with a song 'Humble Poet' by Bella.
He shared the part of the song, which read: “Ab aisa banna nahi, bhale ghayal ho jana. Tujhe phool samjhe koi, tu fire ho jana. (Don't become something else even if it pains you. If someone considers you a flower, become a fire.)”
The caption continued, “Bella pichhe rehna magar sambhal jaana, in sab aage walon ki tarah naa gaayab ho jaana, meri baat sun main hate deke kaha jaaunga? Yaa fir aisa kahun, hate leke badal jaaunga.”

Notably, Kishan’s performance with the bat has continuously gotten worse, with his scores in the last six international innings reading 27, 15, 3, 8, and 11. The young opener could manage only 449 runs at an average of 44.90 in 14 innings for India, and it could be the reason behind his exclusion from the team.
