PAK v AUS 2022: WATCH - Shaheen Afridi does a 'Ravindra Jadeja' at the nets

Jadeja was recently crowned as the no.1 all-rounder in Test rankings.

Shaheen Afridi

Pakistan speedster Shaheen Afridi has already achieved a lot in his short career, having taken 186 wickets for his country across formats. Recently, he won the prestigious Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for being named the ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year 2021.

Shaheen was seen at his lethal best especially when he dismissed Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli to help Pakistan defeat India by 10 wickets in the T20 World Cup 2021 clash in Dubai, their first win over the arch-rivals in all World Cups.

The 21-year-old recently led Lahore Qalandars to their first Pakistan Super League (PSL) title by defeating defending champions Multan Sultan in the final. In short, the seamer has made a serious name for himself in world cricket in very little time.

Currently, he's assigned with the task of leading Pakistan's seam bowling attack against Australia in the home Test series and in the first match he took two wickets on a pitch that was heavily suited in favour of batters on all five days. The Test predictably ended in a high-scoring draw.

Ahead of the second Test in Karachi, starting on March 12, Afridi was seen trying a new skill at the nets -- left arm spin. His bowling action was remarkably similar to that of Indian all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, who recently became the top-ranked Test all-rounder in the world after scoring 175* and picking up 9 wickets in the Mohali Test against Sri Lanka.

Cricket writer, Bharat Sundaresan, shared a clip of the fast bowler bowling left-arm spin, perhaps preparing himself just incase the Karachi pitch offers some turn in the second Test!
