PAK v AUS 2022: WATCH - 'Cool' David Warner pats Naseem Shah on his shoulder after being hit by bouncer

Australian opener David Warner on Sunday (6th March) won the hearts of many fans after he gave Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah a pat on his shoulder after being hit by the short ball. 

After Pakistan declared their first innings on a score of 476/4, Australian openers Warner (68) and Usman Khawaja (97) led a strong response and stitched 156 runs opening partnership. The duo helped the Pat Cummins-led side to end the day on high with 271 runs on the board. 

Not only with his batting, but Warner also stole the limelight with his ice-cool approach during Day 3 of the first Test. The Pakistani pacers tried to sledge the opener but he remained calm and smiled back at them.

Firstly, he smiled at Shaheen Afridi and then gestured to him about the swing of the ball. Warner then had a light moment with wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan. After a few overs, the 35-year-old was hit on the arm by Naseem Shah and he won the hearts of fans by giving a pacer pat on his shoulder. 

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) captured David Warner’s calm reactions and posted the video on their official Twitter account.

After a 156-run partnership between David Warner and Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne (69*) and Steve Smith (24*) stitched an unbeaten 68 runs partnership before bad light forced early stumps on Day 3.
