England struggled to get wickets on the first day of the second Ashes Test match at the Adelaide Oval. But they did well to make a comeback with three wickets in the afternoon session of Day 2.

Australia began Day 2 with an overnight score of 221 for two, and England dismissed Marnus Labuschagne after his century to pick up their first wicket of the day. The hosts lost the next two wickets, Travis Head and Cameron Green, on a score of 291 and 294 respectively.

Before Green's wicket in the 112th over, former Australian captain Ricky Ponting had predicted the dismissal from the commentary box. He called out a weakness of the Aussie batter before Ben Stokes succeeded in cleaning him up.

Speaking live on 7cricket, Ponting said, "A very distinct change of tactics now for Cam Green. They will be a lot fuller and a lot straighter, they will target his stumps. He sets up with a very open front foot, that is generally a sign of someone worried about LBW and does not want their front foot too far across in the line of the stumps."

Apart from Labuschange's 103 runs, David Warner also played a handy knock before getting out on 95 runs. He was dismissed on 94 runs in the first innings of the opening Test match of the Ashes series.

England have already lost the first Test match and they are not looking good in the Day-Night Test with a mediocre bowling performance so far. The visitors are playing with their effective bowling duo Stuart Broad and James Anderson in this match.
