Queensland Police's tweets are going viral after they took a hilarious jibe at England's batting failure in the first innings of the Brisbane Test against Australia. England, who are looking to regain the Ashes, got bowled out on 147 runs on Wednesday (December 8).

"Queensland Police are launching an investigation into a group impersonating a Test batting order at the Gabba," wrote the Queensland Police on Twitter after England's batting line-up was dismantled by the Aussies.

England captain Joe Root decided to bat first after winning the toss. They got off to the worst possible start and lost Rory Burns to Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc on the first delivery of the match.

The visitors were quickly four down on only 29 runs; losing key wickets of Root and Ben Stokes. They had only one partnership of over 50 runs, between Ollie Pope (35) and Jos Buttler (39) for the sixth wicket.

Apart from it, England batters found it hard to endure Australia's bowling attack. Pat Cummins took a five-wicket haul in his first match as Australia's Test captain.

The rain couldn't let the home side start their innings and stumps was called for Day 1. The play for the second day will start 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled start to cover up the overs.
