Former India captain Virender Sehwag used a funny gif to take a potshot at New Zealand Kane Williamson’s slow knock in the ongoing WTC 2021 Final against India at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.

Resuming their innings from 101/2 on day five, New Zealand managed to put 249 on the board, thanks to 54 from Devon Conway, 49 from Kane Williamson, and contributions from Tom Latham (30), Tim Southee (30), and Kyle Jamieson (21).

However, the focus was on BlackCaps’ captain Kane Williamson, whose 49 runs came in 177 balls in 294 minutes. He hit 6 fours in the knock and anchored one end as Indian bowlers found rhythm and swing and ran through the Kiwi lineup.

While reacting to Kane Williamson's slow knock today, Sehwag posted a short, 30-second clip of a person trying to wake up their extremely sleepy pet. He captioned it as: "Williamson on the pitch today."

Along with the video, a Hindi song played in the background, the lyrics of which went as: “Mujhko neend aa rahi hai sone do. (I am feeling sleepy, let me sleep.)”

Sehwag had posted the tweet when lunch was taken and Williamson was on 19* from 112 balls.
