WTC 2021 Final: New Zealand players opt for table tennis as wet weather delays start on Day 4

As the start of play on Day Four of the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and New Zealand has been delayed due to rain at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton, the players from both teams found out different ways to kill the time inside the dressing room.

After the start of play on Day 4 has been delayed in Southampton, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and New Zealand Cricket shared posts on Twitter to express their disappointment over the delay of the exciting contest due to the bad weather.

The BCCI wrote on Twitter: “It continues to drizzle and we have to state the obvious. Start of play on Day 4 has been delayed.”

On the other hand, New Zealand cricketers including Kyle Jamieson were seen playing table tennis as the NZC shared a picture of them to reveal how they are killing time while waiting to clear the clouds.

The Black Caps captioned the post as saying: “Wet weather has returned to the Hampshire Bowl so it's table tennis for now.”
