Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer and Micheal Vaughan engaged in banter on Twitter once again after the first day of the World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and New Zealand at Ageas Bowl, Southampton was washed out on June 18.

With rain playing spoilsport on Day 1 of the India vs New Zealand WTC final, former England skipper Michael Vaughan took to his official Twitter account and poked fun and stoked a bit of fire saying that rain saved Team India.

Michael Vaughan and Wasim Jaffer pull each other's leg in a funny Twitter banter

“I see India have been saved by the weather …. #WorldTestChampionship," Michael Vaughan Tweeted.

Reacting to which Punjab Kings (PBKS) batting coach Wasim Jaffer was once again at his comical best. The former Indian cricketer posted a picture from Aamir Khan’s movie Lagaan and trolled England cricket team and fans for not qualifying.

This being an obvious reference to the fact that the English cricketers and fans will be watching from the sidelines as they failed to qualify for the finals.

"Meanwhile rest of the teams watching the #WTCFinals #iykyk,” Wasim Jaffer captioned the picture.
