Michael Vaughan, the former England captain, is known for trolling team India fans on Twitter and ahead of the WTC 2021 final, the cricketer was at it again, as the rain played spoilsport at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton where India takes on New Zealand in the ICC World Test Championship final.
The game was supposed to start at 3.00 PM IST, but rain washed out the first session of day one of the five-day Test match, which has been highly anticipated. New Zealand and India are the top two ranked Test teams facing each other for a chance to win US 1.6 million and the Test championship mace.

Meanwhile, Michael Vaughan needled the Indian fans saying that India were lucky to be saved by the adverse weather. “I see India have been saved by the weather …" he tweeted.
Vaughan had earlier predicted that New Zealand will win the Test Championship final. NZ had defeated England 1-0 in a recent Test series prior to this game. And in their previous Test meeting with India in 2020, the Kiwis defeated India in both Tests in their home.
