Ravindra Jadeja can hit the smallest footmark consistently, says David Warner

According to Warner, Ashwin and Jadeja both should play the WTC final.

Australia opening batsman David Warner was one of them as he suggested both R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja should play in this match in his recent interaction.

Over time Jadeja has bowled exceptionally well against left-handers. There only has to be one little footmark that could be the size of a roti and he will hit that consistently. They are going to be troubled with those two spinners I feel, Warner told Sports Today.

It will be a great game of Test cricket as number 1 ranked India takes on number 2 ranked New Zealand at Southampton from June 18.

Kiwis had beaten India 2-0 in the Test series at home in 2020. Thus, it will be interesting to see how Virat Kohli and co. perform at Southampton.

Team India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, recently talked about playing a Test match at a neutral venue in a video uploaded on the BCCI website.

It is really exciting, in all these years we have never played a team at a neutral venue in Test cricket. Test cricket is the ultimate format of the sport that we have. It is the greatest test of a cricketer’s ability, mental strength, and everything. For a long time, cricketers wanted this kind of space, with some context to Test cricket. Looking forward to the final,” Ashwin said.

After the final, India will be taking on England in a five-match Test series slated to begin from 4 August.
