Former England spinner Monty Panesar is backing India to defeat England by 5-0 in the upcoming Test series. India haven't won a Test series on England tour in the last 14 years, but Panesar believes the Virat Kohli-led side has the potential to defeat England.
Panesar said India are going through their best time and they are capable of defeating England 5-0 in the upcoming series. He said if Kohli and company manage to register a clean sweep, it will be their greatest overseas victory.

"I think India are going through their best time. When the weather is warm in August, they can even play with two spinners in English conditions. The current Indian team has the potential to defeat England 5-0. After Alastair Cook's retirement, the English top-order hasn't looked reliable. If India managed to register a clean sweep, it'll be their greatest overseas series win," Panesar told India TV.
The 39-year-old responded to a fan on Twitter and said the warm conditions in England can assist Indian spinners in August. "5 test matches are in August where we will expect warmer conditions. Indian spinners will come into the game, India have a chance 5-0," he tweeted.
In another tweet, Panesar wrote that England have issues with their top order and it can be in favor of India. "The top order will be England's issue. Most county batsmen take the off-stump guard. At release point their head is outside off stump. Bowl at the stumps," Panesar tweeted.
