New Zealand are scheduled to tour England for a two-match Test series followed by the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final where the Kiwis take on team India. As New Zealand will be taking on India at Southampton, batsman Devon Conway has come up with a unique strategy to counter the Indian spinners.

Conway is hoping that sprinkling kitty litter on practice pitches might help this New Zealand unit to tackle the variations of Indian spinners off the bowler’s foot-marks.

Basically the idea is to get the ball to sort of spit out of the rough, It's a bit harder to play, but good practice ... It's about finding a gameplan to combat that and just practice how you're going to play in the game,Conway told Spark Sports.

New Zealand players in Maldives likely to leave for UK this weekend, says Gary Stead

The 29-year-old who will be in line to make his Test debut in England then talked about playing a ball coming off the kitty litter and felt that it's all about being positive.

When it does roughen up and the ball does spit and turn a lot, it's all about being positive,” the left-hand batsman said throwing some kitty litter on the pitch.

The New Zealand side led by skipper Kane Williamson will be taking on Joe Root’s England in the first Test match at Lord’s, scheduled to begin from June 2 whereas the second Test will be played at Edgbaston in Birmingham, scheduled to begin on June 10.

After the two-match Test series, Kane Williamson and Co. will be traveling to Southampton to take on Virat Kohli-led team India for the inaugural final of ICC World Test Championship.
