Sri Lanka and England are currently playing the first Test of the two-match series at Galle with the visitors in sight of a victory on the last day, needing just 36 more runs to win with seven wickets in hand.

Trailing England by 286 runs in the first innings, Sri Lanka fought hard with the bat in the second innings as Lahiru Thirimanne (111), Angelo Mathews (71) and Kusal Perera (62) played fine knocks but Jack Leach's five-wicket haul prevented the hosts from setting a defendable total. England needing 74 to win, were 38/3 at Stumps on Day 4.

England's second innings got off to a shaky start with Lasith Embuldeniya dismissing the openers cheaply and captain Joe Root, who scored 228 in the first innings, was run out via direct-hit by Niroshan Dickwella for just 1. Clearly excited by his effort, the wicket-keeper landed a hilarious 'face-five' on Kusal Mendis who was left in some shock and pain.

There was no immediate apology either which made the incident even funnier for everyone watching on television including England women's cricketer Kate Cross and former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag.

Cross tweeted, "Whooops" followed by some emojis.

While, Sehwag shared the video on his Instagram and wrote, "Who do you feel like giving such a high-five to ? #nikaalo #maukepechauka"
