India's tour of Australia has not been an easy one for the players as right from the moment the tour began, the injuries have just not stopped for the visitors. To their credit they have still competed hard in all three formats despite the setbacks.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Varun Chakaravarthy were ruled out of the tour even before the team boarded its flight after the conclusion of IPL 2020 in UAE.

Ishant Sharma and Rohit Sharma were expected to join the tour at a later date, which the latter eventually did for the last two Tests, but the seamer could not make it because of lack of match fitness. Shreyas Iyer and Manish Pandey suffered injuries during the white-ball leg of the tour.

And once the Test series began with the pink-ball Test at Adelaide, the injuries have come one after another which saw fast bowlers Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav returning home. KL Rahul also had to go back with an injured wrist.

After the recently concluded third Test, Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out with a dislocated thumb for which he underwent surgery on Tuesday, while Jasprit Bumrah and Hanuma Vihari are all but sure to miss the final Test in Brisbane starting on January 15.

Also in doubt for the fourth Test are R Ashwin and Mayank Agarwal, while to bring some relief to the camp, Rishabh Pant escaped serious injury despite receiving a painful blow on the elbow in the first innings at Sydney.

There are some doubts on whether India will be able to field a fully fit playing XI in the crucial match with the series currently tied at 1-1. Washington Sundar, Prithvi Shaw, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav and Wriddhiman Saha are the players in fray for spots should Agarwal and Ashwin also not be available for the team along with Bumrah and Vihari.

Former Indian opener, Virender Sehwag reacted on a lighter note to the unfortunate situation that Team India finds itself in with regular captain Virat Kohli also back home on paternity leave. He has offered to fly to Australia and play if India needs help in finding eleven fit players for the Brisbane Test, though he's unsure about quarantine.

Here's his tweet which left the fans in splits:
